Almost 24 hours after an apparent explosion rocked M's Pub in the Old Market, fire crews remain on the scene.

The area, near 11th Street, was a chaotic and cold scene on Saturday afternoon. Flames shot out of the front of M's Pub as people having lunch ran from the restaurant.

Fortunately, fire officials say there were no critical injuries. One person was transported to Nebraska Medical but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

There's still no word as to what officially caused the fire. Fire investigators were at the scene on Saturday and will continue their investigation on Sunday.

Neighbors tell KMTV Action 3 News that they smelled natural gas in the moments before the explosion. A sever at M's Pub told KMTV's Emily Szink that a worker told her they had hit a gas line outside. She says she then ran to tell fellow employees to shut off the gas.

Fire crews are still on scene as of noon Sunday. The front of the 100 year old building looked frozen and ice-covered as firefighters continued to spray water into the building. While much of the structure is still standing, a collapse has not been ruled out.
