OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If there are leftover fireworks from your parties on Fourth of July, you can dispose of them for free with no questions asked so they do not become a danger in your home.
Omaha Police are offering a fireworks and firearm amnesty day on Saturday, July 6. From 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can drop off unwanted fireworks, guns, and ammunition at two locations: Seymour Smith Park and at 103rd & Ellison Street.
The Fourth is the final day to blow off your fireworks legally in Omaha, due to the new fireworks ordinance. OPD holds an amnesty day after the Fourth of July every year.
