OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) says flu activity remains high in the area but the number of reported cases decreased last week.
Influenza A and B are the predominant viruses, with more cases of type A confirmed than type B around Omaha.
A total of 269 cases were reported last week according to the DCHD, with 4,027 lab-confirmed cases confirmed since Sept. 29, 2019.
Two pediatric deaths due to the flu have occurred this season, along with six in adults over 65.
