A group of Husker super fans are heading to Chicago this weekend to cheer on the Huskers, as they take on the Wildcats.
For the sixth time this season, the Big Red are heading into game day without a single win under their belt, but for some Husker fans it's even more reason to support the team.
To the casual college football fan, some may think the Huskers have derailed, but not most Husker fans.
"It's going to take some time, and we knew that, we knew that going in," Laurie Callahan said.
It's been a tough season for the Big Red, but fans aren't phased.
"A true fan is there in good times and in bad," Renee Iwan said.
8 years ago, Callahan and 20 of her friends took the Amtrak to Chicago to see the Huskers take on Northwestern.
"The train is a lot of fun, it's a great relaxing way to travel you just can't be in a hurry with it," Callahan said.
And, can't be in a hurry to win it ... much like their two and half hour train delay.
Fans still hopeful the Huskers are full steam ahead on Saturday.
But that 0-5 record, no big deal.
"It's easy to be a fan when, things are going well and when people are winning," Callahan said. But, good fans stick with the team and support the team, and now more than ever our guys need our support."
These faithful fans haven't missed a beat, traveling to Evanston to catch the Big Red ever since they joined the Big 10, and the following continues to grow.
More than 80 people hopped on the train on Friday.
"Hey this is our fourth time going back so we're here to go again in two years if necessary," Iwan said.
"We're all behind them, 100 percent," Bernie Buscher said. We got a Nebraska guy in there that's gonna run the program like it should be run ... and get us back to the good ol' Nebraska football."
And they're hoping the team gets back on track to their winning ways.
Kickoff is Saturday at 11 a.m. .
