OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you need to update your social media profile and need a professional headshot for job searches, Bloc Inc., a non-profit group, is offering free photo sessions this weekend.
"Right now, people don't have jobs, so charging for pictures when we have the opportunity to get photographers to help us out is not something that goes along with the values and mission of the Bloc," said CEO Philipe Bruce.
The photo shoot is valued at $120. Come ready to smile and strike a pose at Elmwood Park Pavilion.
"We thought this would be a good place because of social distancing; it's out in the open, it's just the ideal location with good light and good background," said Dina Becirovic, COO, The Bloc Inc.
There will be several photographers to take photos. You can dress in business attire or business casual.
"This is definitely supposed to be lighthearted," said Bruce. "Come prepared with professional attire."
"Maybe a nice blazer, something they are comfortable in, a bright color or neutral color," said Becirovic. "We want them to feel comfortable so their personality shines through as well."
Free headshots are being offered at these places and times:
Saturday, Elmwood Park Pavilion, 10:00am - 1:00pm - Omaha
Sunday, Holmes Lake Playground, 10:00am - 1:00pm - Lincoln
