OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Funeral services will be held today for Father Valentine Peter, the longtime leader of Boys Town.
Peter was an Omaha native. He attended Holy Cross Grade School and Creighton Prep. Peter spent 20 years at Boys Town, shaping it into an award winning organization.
By his retirement in 2005, Boys Town was recognized as one of the most successful child care organizations in the United States.
Peter was 85.
