OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Keeping kids engaged, attentive and curious is not a problem at the Gifford Farm Education Center.

Their newest addition is a goat farm play area. Along with donkeys, they have goats, horses, llamas, pigs, chickens and roosters.

The outdoor nature classroom lets you also pick fresh fruit and vegetables, depending on the season. You can set up a appointment or bring your group to one of their open to the public days.

"The kids can come out and take a walk through the woods, they learn about some of the plants that are growing, learn about animal tracks, they do a craft and a journal," said Kelly Taylor, Coordinator of Gifford Farm Education Center.

And the kids learn quickly what they like and dislike.

"I like the horses, I am going to have one when I get older," said Ro'isi'n Potts.

Her brother Stephen adds, "I like the playing areas, the donkeys, but not the pigs. The pigs are the worst, and they stink."

Gifford Farm Education Center has an official Farm Camp Program and is available for private parties and events.
