OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Guests at the Open Door Mission got a surprise treat on Thursday.
Godfather’s Pizza delivered more than 100 pizzas to the shelter for those experiencing homelessness in our community.
The Open Door Mission called it a huge blessing.
“It’s a good reminder to our guests that they are noticed and people support them even though times are hard right now,” said Amy Harvey, Community Relations Director at the Open Door Mission.
The shelter currently provides shelter beds for more than 400 people. They had to reduce their numbers due to COVID-19.
But they are still working each day to find ways to help the homeless in our community.
