According to a release from the Governor's office, Gov. Pete Ricketts has been given four possible names by the Judicial Nomination Commission to replace Mark Ashford.

Ashford, who had served as Nebraska's fourth district judge since 2000, died unexpectedly in August

The four choices, all from Omaha, are Omaha law partner Patrick Guinan, Douglas County Court Judge Thomas Harmon, Douglas County prosecutor Jim Masteller and Omaha business law attorney Andrew Wilson.
