A popular resident of the Henry Doorly Zoo is getting a new home.
Bam Bam, the Zoo's only polar bear, is moving to the Kansas City Zoo next month. Bam Bam will be roommates in Kansas City with Berlin, a 28-year-old female. The move was recommended by the Polar Bear Species Survival Plan.
Bam Bam has lived in the Henry Doorly Zoo her entire life, having been born there in 1987.
