After taking in 30 malnourished horses from a far in Eastern Nebraska, Hooves and Paws Rescue of the Heartland is at capacity and needs help.
The non-profit located in Glenwood, Iowa is bursting at the seams and shelter owner Genea Stoops says it will continue to grow.
"All my mares I took are bred, that means they are pregnant," she said. "So everything doubles in these numbers."
Stoops has helped a number of horses get healthy and put up for adoption. You can donate to the shelter or adopt a horse here.
