More than 600 volunteers spent their Saturday delivering boxes full of food complete for a holiday meal.
The "Drumsticks on Wheels" is a fine tuned operation at the Open Door Mission that are dedicated to helping the less fortunate.
Organizers say it's important for families to be able to spend the holiday in their homes, rather than having to visit the shelter.
"I just thought it was a good opportunity for our family to help serve the community, says Volunteer Lyle Bird.
The boxes even have extra food to help parents feed their children when they're home form school during the holidays and can't rely on school lunches.
