LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) -- The beginning of football season starts at the Red and White Spring game.
Where the Huskers offense plays their defense, and shows fans how the team has improved since the fall.
The Huskers are coming off a losing season.
“It was scary,” Don Williams said of the huskers 2015 season.
Husker fans are hoping for a better year.
“We recruited a lot of quarterbacks this year, I’d really like to see them in the spring game,” Williams said.
Some fans are more optimistic than others, saying the Huskers will win the Big 10.
The spring game gives fans a first look at new players.
“I’m absolutely excited to see what they’re going to do and bring to the team,” said Tanya pierson, a lifelong Huskers fan.
When asked how their cornhuskers would fair this year, many said they’ll have a winning season.
Today, close to 72,992 fans packed Memorial Stadium.
