OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Hy-Vee is providing free Hemoglobin A1C screenings throughout November in honor of National Diabetes Month.
A press release from Hy-Vee says the screenings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at Hy-Vee Healthy You Mobiles in 160 store parking lots.
Registered dietitians will conduct a simple blood test and review results with individuals.
Hemoglobin A1C is a blood test those with diabetes use to manage their blood glucose levels and provides information about an individual's levels over a two to three-month period.
