A brand of blue cheese is being recalled by Hy-Vee because of possible contamination, the grocery store says.

Customers are asked to throw out or return certain Maytag Raw Milk Blue Cheese products because they might be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, though they’ve had no reports of related illnesses yet.

Hy-Vee identified the following label information:

Maytag Blue Raw Milk
Maytag Blue
Maytag Iowa Blue Cheese

PLU numbers beginning with 854089001

“Use by” dates between Jan. 20, 2016 and May 3, 2016.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Hy-Vee is recalling all sizes and forms (wheels, wedges and crumbles) of Maytag Blue Cheese products from all of its stores,” Hy-vee said.

They say Myatag Dairy Farms has voluntarily suspended production after testing by Iowa officials discovered the presence of listeria monocytogenes in two lots of product.

The dairy farm is working with the Food and Drug Administration and Iowa officials to find out the cause of the contamination.
