OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Henry Doorly zoo says there's a new baby chick in the Desert Dome.
For the first time since 2015, the zoo has a cape thick-knee chick on display along with its parents who came to the zoo in 2017.
The zoo says the species is native to Africa and that the parents will sometimes feign injury to lure predators away from their young.
You can find the happy family in the Australian section of the desert dome.
