Omaha Police are investigating the death of an infant Friday morning.
Officers were called to an apartment complex near 25th and Izard Court around 4:15 a.m.. They found an injured infant lying in the grass. Police say the child fell from a top floor window, but do not yet know how the child fell. Paramedics took the baby girl to CHI Creighton where she was pronounced dead. OPD's Child Victim-Sexual Assault Unit is taking over the investigation.
