After a recent national survey ranked Nebraska the worst state for bicyclists, the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Planning Agency is promoting a website that maps bicycle routes all over the area.
The organization hopes to show local riders their options, marking streets and trails on the map with a suggested skill level.
Organizers say they plan to add features, including trail closures, to the map at bikemap.mapacog.org in the next few months. Printed versions of the map can be picked up at several bicycle shops in the Omaha-metro area.
