Experts at Fontenelle Forest continue to look for answers in the case of a bald eagle with part of its head missing that was brought to them on May 28.

Three days ago, they posted this picture on Instagram asking for help figuring out what happened.

Betsy Finch of the Raptor Recovery Program has reached out to others across the country, and no one could figure out the problem. Finch also the eagle was down and depressed when since its arrival and because of its condition, it can only be handled for a limited amounts of time.

Monday, it was announced that a Federal investigation into the eagle's head trauma found there was no foul play involved.

The Raptor Recovery Program also has a vulture with a similar condition, but the two are not related.
