Zebra mussels have been found in Lake Manawa.
A home owner in the area first reported the finding. Zebra mussels can interfere with aquatic food chains, kill native mussels, clog water intake and increase algae at nearby beaches.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be monitoring the situation.
