Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds made her way to the Western part of the state Monday with the election just a week away.
She was stumping in Council Bluffs amidst a tight race with Democrat Fred Hubbell. Currently, Real Clear Politics has the race as a tossup and FiveThirtyEight gives Hubbell the edge.
In Council Bluffs, Reynolds touted the state's low unemployment rate and encouraged people to vote on Nov. 6.
"Midterms, just, you know, people become complacent and they don't turn out like they do for a presidential," she said. "So we want Iowans to know 'let's changed the narrative on midterm elections and show them we do know it matters."
Hubbell will have Joe Biden campaigning with him in Cedar Rapids Tuesday night.
