One man is in custody after an Iowa State Trooper found an explosive device during a routine traffic stop near Underwood, IA, Wednesday afternoon.
Christopher Peak has been booked in the Pottawattamie County Jail for possession of explosives, disorderly conduct and interference with official acts.
The Iowa State Patrol says a trooper stop Peak near mile marker 19 on I-80. During a search of the car a suspicious package was found.
The State Fire Marshal was called in and detonated the package which contained blasting caps.
The Iowa State Patrol says Peak's car has been taken into evidence and the investigation continues.
