An Iowa teenager who pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide has been ordered to carry a photo of his victim.
A Pottawatamie County judge sentenced 18 year old Kael Karagianis to five years probation in a deferred judgement on Monday. Under the terms of the probation, Karagianis must carry a photo of 14 year old Gage Williams who died in the March 21st crash near Neola. He must also perform community service and make two presentations a year on the dangers of reckless driving.
Williams and another teen were in the bed of Karagianis' pickup when he lost control of the truck while intentionally swerving and hitting the brakes.
Under a deferred judgement, the conviction could be removed from Karagianis' record if he completes the terms of his probation.
