An Iowa woman has died in the Las Vegas shooting.
Cathy Kreibaum was a mother and native of Sutherland, Iowa, a town of just over 600 people about 80 minutes from Sioux City.
Her neighbors spent the past few days praying for her and family members waited to hear from her. Her loss left the community in shock.
"Of course we feel very insulated, that nothing like this can ever happen to our community," Sutherland resident Natosha Pettit said. "It's shocking that it can reach this close to home."
Kreibaum leaves behind her husband and two kids.
