The man accused of killing Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Burbridge will be held in Sioux City.

Woodbury County Sheriff Dave Drew says Wesley Correa Carmenaty will be held in his jail once Carmenaty's extradition from Omaha is complete. That's not expected to happen until after Deputy Burbridge's funeral on Monday. Carmenaty will not be held in the Pottawattamie County jail due to concerns about his safety since that's where Burbridge was shot and killed.

Pottawattamie County will pay Woodbury County $55 a day for housing Carmenaty.
