Junkstock brings people from around the country

Posted

People shopped for just about everything in the middle of a horse farm.

"I just love how unexpected everything is, you won’t see two of the same thing it’s all unique."

It doesn't stop at just cool junk, it's a complete experience.

"They have music, yummy food, my kids love music and dancing.”

“They truly have something for everyone here, it’s great."

Megan Golbars says this is her family's first Junkstock and it's everything she expected plus more.

"This year I said we are going no matter what."

Public Relations Director Danielle Schlegelmilch says they have about three Junkstocks a year and the festival like event continues to grow.

"People come from all over the country to come to Junkstock now, which is very humbling from a small dream to have an awesome event in Omaha."

Vendors say it's a goldmine for customers looking for items they wouldn't typically find in stores.

"They say that they can find things that they can't find on a normal shopping adventure, and once they come here they don't want to stop coming."

The Junkstock experience is equally as fun to them as it is to the community.

"Once we came here, we just fell in love with it, the ambiance, the crowd and all the people.”

“We never want to miss a Junkstock."
