For the next two weeks, a group of a dozen men is riding their bicycles across Nebraska to support organ donation awareness. They started in Denver Colorado a couple of days ago and are working their way across day by day.

On Friday, they will be riding from Lincoln to Omaha where they will stop at Mahoney State Park to have a moment of silence at the Nebraska Organ Recovery tree and park bench at Mahoney.

Each day they ride in honor of one of the many donors that we've had over the years here in Nebraska.

Bruce Brockway, the organizer of the group, started the organization Pedal for Life after he lost his son Garret. Garrett, an organ donor saved more than 130 lives through donation.  You can find out more about their story and follow their progress at the following websites:  Facebook.com/pedalforlife and Pedalforlife.org
