OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Labor Day weekend is nearly here which mean an annual downtown celebration is back.
SeptemberFest is expected to bring in large crowds during the extended weekend holiday.
Starting Friday at 5 p.m., gates will open where visitors will see the launch of carnival rides, shows, food, arts and crafts and much more.
But the big event is the Labor Day Parade, which will start Monday at 10 a.m. at 16th and Cass streets weaving through downtown to end at 10th and Mike Fahey streets.
More than 80 labor unions will participate with about 3,500 walers joining the route.
The two hour parade will go on rain or shine, according to organizers.
