Nine months later, Taryn’s mother, Tonya Streck, wants to remind parents about the dangers of lawn mowers.

Streck said the last year was chaotic, but they are getting back to normal, “Playing with friends, and running, jumping on trampolines, there is nothing at this point she can't do.”

Taryn sported a Frozen themed power wheel around the yard Wednesday afternoon and showed she wasn’t going to let anything stop her from having fun.

A big milestone for Taryn was playing with a horse she got for her birthday right before the accident.

Streck said spring weather brings a warning from her for other parents.

“There were multiple parents that said because of Taryn's accident they did not let their kids outside when they are mowing,” said Streck, and she wants to keep that message strong.

“If someone doesn't have to go through this that is what I want to get out there.”
