A big push to include sexual orientation in the state non-discrimination laws.
On Tuesday, supporters gathered in Lincoln to rally behind a bill that would make it illegal for an employer to fire somebody if they are gay or due to their gender identity.
State Senator Adam Morfeld is sponsoring the bill.
He believes most Nebraskans support it.
A hearing is slated for Wednesday afternoon.
