OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — As tens of thousands of Berkies visit Omaha later this week, one souvenir will serve as a reminder of Borsheims global reach: a light-powered rotating globe .
The jewelry store has customers in all 50 states and around the world. The Oracle of Omaha first purchased Borsheims stock back in 1989.
The globe sits on a clear acrylic base engraved with "Berkshire Hathaway" and Warren Buffett's signature. It turns using ambient light. The price tag is $160.
Today, with the help of Berkshire shareholders, Borsheims is experiencing huge growth, shipping to customers all over the world.
It's also one of the nation's largest independent jewelry stores.
