OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — As tens of thousands of Berkies visit Omaha later this week, one souvenir will serve as a reminder of Borsheims global reach: a light-powered rotating globe.
The jewelry store has customers in all 50 states and around the world. The Oracle of Omaha first purchased Borsheims stock back in 1989.
The globe sits on a clear acrylic base engraved with "Berkshire Hathaway" and Warren Buffett's signature. It turns using ambient light. The price tag is $160.
Today, with the help of Berkshire shareholders, Borsheims is experiencing huge growth, shipping to customers all over the world.
It's also one of the nation's largest independent jewelry stores.
