The man responsible for shooting and killing a convenience store clerk in July is dead.
Lincoln Police officials say that Rodzela Jones was found dead in Mississippi on July 19th.
But authorities say police are confident he shot Kwik Shop clerk Bob Hanna during a holdup near 14th and Adams last summer.
Investigators say "during extensive follow-up into the case Jones was identified as a suspect.
But without the ability to interview him, investigators tracked other evidence needed to confirm Jones was involved.
Lincoln Police now say Jones went into the Kwik Shop at 14th and Adams on the morning of July 7 and demanded money from the 51 year old Hanna.
Despite immediate rescue attempts, Hanna died at the scene.
