OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Humane Society (NHS) says an area man was arrested this morning for felony animal cruelty for an incident where he "allegedly held a cat under scalding hot water causing severe burns to a majority of the cat’s body."
NHS says the incident occurred on September 11 and the cat, BJ, has since been in private care but is expected to survive.
NHS identified the suspect as 35-year-old Calvin Kyles.
