OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Tuesday, two local salons gave back to others in need.

Brash Salon and Element Salon Studios gave free haircuts to the men and women at the Siena Francis House.

The owner of Brash Salon, Mallory Flynn, said during the pandemic that she's thought a lot about giving back.

She decided to call the owner of Element Salon Studios, Angie Kleensang, and see what they could do.

Flynn says helping at the Siena Francis House is important because when you look good, you feel good.

“I think during this time, everyone needs their spirits lifted a little bit and if I can be a small part of that, that's what I want to do,” said Flynn.

Almost 50 haircuts were given Tuesday and both salon owners say that they will come back to do more.
