Low-speed chase starts, ends at same home

Deputies say they were trying to arrest a man wanted for drug possession when the man tried to get away, leading them on a low-speed chase around the block.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Thursday near 192nd and Blondo streets.

Deputies say they approached the man as he was asleep in his car, but when he woke up, he backed up and nearly hit an officer.

"I would say it's kind of an unusual finish to a pursuit or arrest like this, to return to the same residence," said Deputy Brian Parizek.

The man drove around the block, deputies, say, in an effort to get away, but eventually gave up.
