LPD: Suspect arrested for throwing explosive into home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Lincoln Police Department says a 35-year-old woman was arrested for throwing an explosive device into a home through an open window.

April Holmes has been arrested on charges of using explosives to kill or injure and using explosives to damage property, which are both felonies.

Officers were able to link Holmes to an explosion at a residence in the 600 block area of West Saunders through witness statements, video, forensic evidence and suspicions of the victim.

Police say the device was an M Class explosive and $2,500 worth of damages of occurred but no one was injured in the blast.
