Make-A-Wish is sending a young Iowa boy on a trip of a lifetime.

Eight-year-old Kouper has been battling cancer for some time, now undergoing 13 rounds of chemotherapy, a liver transplant and other medical procedures.

However Tuesday night at Edwards Motorsports, Make-A-Wish gave young Kouper some exciting news, he's going to head out to Maryland this Thrusday to meet his idol Travis Pastrana.

"He kinda wasn't sure at first but then he was like I want to go see Travis Pastrana, he was the first guy that every did the first ever double backflip on a dirtbike," said Kouper's parents, Mandie Mersick and Jason West. "Kouper has educated us on him and all the accomplishments and everything that Travis has done."

Kouper's parents say their son loves to be outside riding 4-wheelers and his dirt bike.

They say he's been handling his treatment very well, but they want to raise enough money to send him to a special team at MD Anderson Cancer Center for treatment.
