An Omaha police officer is recovering after being hit in the face with a bottle while trying to break up a large crowd.
Officers responded to the disturbance at 25th and Taylor around 3 a.m. and tried to break up the group.
Police say 31-year-old Jeronn Garrison threw a bottle at police, hitting one of the officers in the face.
The officer has a facial fracture.
Police witnessed Garrison throwing bottles at other officers and saw him discard a handgun inside a car. He was arrested on related charges.
