Man asking for help finding immigration documents says he was attacked

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Lincoln Police received a report from a man who says he was attacked when asking neighbors and others for help finding his immigration paperwork.

The unidentified man, said he asked several people in his apartment complex as well as three people in a car nearby to help him. When he asked the people in the car, they reportedly drew a gun and punched him. The man told police that he gave them his wallet and left.

The events took place near an apartment complex at 10th and C Streets.
