OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - As several law enforcement agencies join the search of an escaped inmate, authorities urged the public to be vigilant.
Eric Scott, 37, escaped from a Dodge County deputy Wednesday afternoon while being transported for a preliminary hearing Thursday where he faced sexual assault charges, according to the Saunders County Sheriff Department.
Scott then drove off with the government-licensed car to Omaha, where he ditched it at Nebraska Furniture Mart Wednesday evening, according to Omaha police.
If you see Scott, you're urged to not approach him and call 911.
