To pump the kids up for the new school year. Principal Ledonna Griffin and teachers wore army inspired gear. While leading the students and families and the message seemed to make sense for the kids.
Third Grade Amontaya told KMTV about her thoughts “Having fun and being safe and making new friends.” “Be a lot nice to people.

According to the teachers and the principal, this special welcome is meant to do two things: one is to set a positive tone for the new school year. And the second is to motivate their students to do their best for the rest of the school year.
“Our staff met this summer and we said, "How can we make sure our students are energized and ready to go when they return?" and so we came up with this chant,” said Dr. LeDonna Griffin.
Griffin said the surprise welcome shows...learning is exciting. “It's fun. And from that -- we can reach every student,” she said.
