Mayor Stothert announces 18 resurfacing projects

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Work is expected to begin this summer on 18 additional road resurfacing projects, the Mayor Stothert's office announced today. 

In April, the Mayor announced a $5 million increase in the repair and resurfacing budget. As of right now, there are 59 budgeted projects and bids for the new projects will be open on June 21. 

"We are aggressively addressing the street infrastructure needs in the city," Stothert said in a release. "In a few weeks, we will present the recommended 2018 budget to the City Council for approval, which will again prioritize and increase spending for road repair and resurfacing."
