Millard Public Schools sets budget meetings, voting deadlines

MILLARD, Neb. (KMTV) - Because of budget issues, the Millard Board of Education voted unanimously to pass a resolution asking voters to override the levy limits by a maximum of nine cents on Sept. 5, leaving it up to the community to determine whether or not Millard schools will be able to make up its budget deficit. 

Ballots for the measure will be mailed on Oct. 23 and must be returned by Nov. 14, but until then the district is hosting open houses to inform the community on the budget. 

The full list of meeting locations can be found below, all of them begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sept. 20: Millard North High School, Rowher Elementary 

Sept. 21: Disney Elementary, Holling Heights Elementary, Abbott Elementary 

Sept. 25: Central Middle School, Willowdale Elementary, Russell Middle School, Kiewit Middle School 

Sept. 27: Reeder Elementary, Andersen Middle School 

Sept. 28: Neihardt Elementary, Aldrich Elementary, Norris Elementary 

Oct. 4: Cather Elementary, North Middle School, Millard West High School 

Oct. 5: Black Elk Elementary, Rockwell Elementary, Upchurch Elementary 

Oct. 18: Bryan Elementary 

Oct. 23: Hitchcock Elementary, Cody Elementary, Reagan Elementary
