Because of budget issues, the Millard Board of Education voted unanimously to pass a resolution asking voters to override the levy limits by a maximum of nine cents on Sept. 5, leaving it up to the community to determine whether or not Millard schools will be able to make up its budget deficit.
Ballots for the measure will be mailed on Oct. 23 and must be returned by Nov. 14, but until then the district is hosting open houses to inform the community on the budget.
