Students in gym class at Elkhorn South High School encountered a nasty surprise Wednesday.
According to school officials, a student in gym class hit a sprinkler with a ball at just the right angle, causing it to start spewing blackened water.
A video taken by student Jackson Fischer showed students reacting to the spill.
The principal says he thinks the water initially came out black because it had been sitting in the pipes for awhile.
The mess took about 30 minutes to clean up. No classes were canceled.
