Nebraska Public Service Commission officials have set a public hearing date for the Keystone XL Pipeline application.
PSC officials said on Thursday that the public hearing will be held on August 7 and it will continue until August 11.
Those hearings will take place in Lincoln.

This news comes as several enviromental groups challenged the federal permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline in court because they say additional environmental scrutiny is needed.
The Keystone XL Pipeline would carry millions of barrels of oil from Canada to Texas.
Every state the pipeline would cut through has approved the project except for Nebraska.
TransCanada, the company behind the work project applied to the Service Commission to build through Nebraska in February.
