LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) - The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services will begin managing a medical services at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution effective July 24, 2007, the Department announced in a release today.
Dr. Harbons Deol, the NDCS deputy director of health services said the process to establish positions, recruit staff and ensure continuity of care has already begun.
Correct Care Solutions, who used to provide the medical coverage, will have regional manager Kim Gerdes serve as team lead in the transition.
CCS has provided contract medical services to the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution since 2005.
