The Nebraska Department of Transportation reported 25 traffic fatalities that occurred in 21 crashes with 21 of the deaths coming in rural locations.
Of the 15 vehicle fatalities, 12 were not wearing seatbelts. Additionally, nine of the fatalities were motorcyclists and one was a pedestrian.
In January through July of 2017, there have been 125 fatalities on Nebraska's roads, the lowest in that timeframe since 2013.
