OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) says scammers are posing as the DMV, threatening to recall or "cut off" driver's licenses unless immediate payments are made.

The DMV says they will never call demanding money and will always communicate via mail.

If you receive a call from someone saying otherwise, they say you should hang up and call the DMV directly.

If you believe you may have been duped by a scammer, or any other scam, you should contact law enforcement immediately for further advice.
