LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) - The state of Nebraska will join 46 other states and the District of Columbia in an $18.5 million settlement with Target, Attorney General Doug Peterson announced Wednesday.

In the settlement, Nebraska will receive $199,3820.20 to resolve the states' investigation into Target's data breach in 2013.

The settlement, which is the largest multistate data breach settlement ever, was lead by investigations from Connecticut and Illinois.

Overall, 60 million Target customers were affected.
