Nebraska's second congressional district is getting national attention.

It is now one of six races that are part of a New York Times live poll. After close to 20,000 calls by pollsters, early results show Republican Don Bacon leading to Kara Eastman by a total of 51 percent to 41. Eight percent of voters are still undecided.

The poll also states that 54 percent of voters have a favorable view of Bacon, 34 percent of voters have an unfavorable, 14 percent do not know enough. Eastman, on the other hand, has a favorable rating with 39 percent of people, an unfavorable rating with 35 percent and 26 percent do not know enough about her to decide.

The margin of error in the poll is 4.8 percent and several other polls show Bacon with a slight lead.
